Nice catch with the severed leg in that screenshot! Although it looks quite thick, so perhaps it's not necessarily her leg? Although you could be right, it would make sense!
I'm actually quite enthusiastic for this film, the blending of both universes, if done tastefully could really catapult both to higher highs.
Lately I've found myself liking the android characters more than any of the human characters, Bishop, David/ Walter, Andy, etc... I wonder if Thia will steal the show as well in this film.
She's torn in half, just like my beautiful Bishop. You can see her android guts hanging out, this is why we have never seen any full body images of her in the promo material. There's shots of a WY vehicle and some android legs scattered around it too, probably hers.

Dan Trachtenberg made an interesting comment about Elle's character in this article, and in my opinion it alludes to her being torn in half;
"Physically, she’s got a real thing that i’m so excited for you guys to see. But I want to let eventually some of that speak for itself."
There was also some talk of her playing two characters, twin droids, so that could be another interesting angle.
I kinda wish the trailer and the poster hadn't spoiled so much tbh. The original articles had a shot of Elle tied up but with normal eyes, not the WY android ones like in the trailer, the fact she's an android wasn't revealed originally.

"Guess we're doin' this one BOY style"- Thia, probably.
Updated article with third movie clip and new poster which was released!
Isn't Dek supposed to be a teenage Yautja? I think the current design works because he is a youngster, the redesign makes him look older.
Some are suggesting the skull could also belong to one of the Aliens from War of the Worlds:

Honestly, it's a toss up. Both alien species share a similar cranium shape and design. The scale reference to the Human skull still makes me think it belongs to an Independence Day Harvester, but until we get a clearer and closer look, it's anyone's guess.
Finally a Predator movie set in the future... with the Weyland Yutani Corporation in it and everything. The android kind of looks like a Silver-Eyed Witch from Claymore
Oh, they're going there alright. Lol
Oh boy, they're going there

Updated OP with current information.
I guess now we know the antagonists in Badlands will be a blend of Humans, alien creatures and characters, as well as a massive creature, sources liken to a Kaiju monster. [Source]
Not sure I buy Predator facing off against Godzilla lol, but perhaps a monster sized like the Alien Queen in AvP would be acceptable. Can't wait to see more for this film come out!
It sounds like Trachtenberg is determined to do the Yautja lore some justice with this film, I'm quite confident in his direction so far.
Please be good and not throw out the Dark Horse culture of the Yautja. Also please have them be called Yautja (Ya-oot-cha) and not (Yaht-ja)
I for one would love to see the Predator/Yautja as the main protagonist, the article mentions the Crucified Predator but completely had forgotten about Wolf from AVPR
Finally watched Prey, Good movie!
Awesome work, thank you for sharing.
@MinecraftDinoKaiju
Well I think they would see the teenagers as worthy prey and thus would not be consider children in the eyes of a yautja. I mean yautja send their own teenagers to hunt the deadly xenomorph
Too bad THE PREDATOR was one of the worse Predator movies to date besides AVP 04
i like this man. good movie we will see..
I realize a good deal about the predator's subculture thru analyzing the vintage AVP comics and their tie-in novels, some honestly cool stuff. The AVP movie I experience could have been truly cool in the event that they 1) did not rent that idiot Paul W S Anderson and a pair of made it toward the Dark Horse Comic's tale.
Sadly with Disney in charge of things, it will be an in-house Disney product instead of a Japanese anime
also would like to add some even look more like Protoss than Yautja
I think they look terrible, they look too Iron-man/Generic human power armor designs, it lacks any authentic Yautja design aesthetics
As fan-made things, they're definitely good, but that isn't to say that I would like them in movie. They're a bit too transformer-ish to me.
It looks alright
and in some renditions were either called Hish-Qu-ten or Hish. In more recent EU stuff, the Hish became the Yaut'ja's ancestors
They are aliens, valled Yaut-ja
I have a question, are predators a human but born to kill with skill, or are they different species of aliens?
I swear the yautja's mandibles keep growing bigger and bigger with each movie
Then you have the plethora of Predator comics that features the yautja as a protagonist, AVP 1989 is my favorite AVP comic thus far but the noevlization was bit better since they gave the predator characters names and goals.
Yes it was a suggestion since the original Predator and its sequel were the best of the series in my opinion.
Not calling you dumb but the movies really do not remove the mystery. As the predators already have so much extended media yet no explanation where they are from.

I stand with Xenotaris, you need to watch the predator movies as you have no idea about them.
Xenotaris: That's alright, I'm not sure what would've been offensive about your answers. Maybe it's more difficult to hear the tone of something that's written at a message-board compared to if someone would say it. It's not you've said “I'm better than you”, or something similar. People wouldn't be able to be at message-boards (Facebook or whatever) if they would take everything as a personal attack. Stick around
“all I said was he/she needs watch the original Predator movies”
I take that as a suggestion, which probably was the intent.
Nah, it would take the mystery out of the monster, kind of how they did with the monster-vision in Alien Covenant. As far as I know, that was in the end of the movie. I don't say that the monster-vision in Covenant was totally damaging, but it wasn't good. Movies shouldn't explain everything, discussing is half of the fun.
