It is with heavy hearts that we report the passing of actor Carl Weathers, who starred in the original Predator. Weathers passed away in his sleep at the age of 76. Carl Weathers was a renowned 80s action movie star who also recently started in popular shows like The Mandalorian.

Deadline relayed a statement by Carl's family:
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carl Weathers. He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. … Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life. Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized worldwide and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.
Carl Weathers will be truly missed, but his legacy and performances will live on through the films and television series he lent his talents to. We send our condolences to his family and friends during this sad time.
