My favorite moment from any Predator film, was originally Scar and Alex teaming up in AVP, now though, I'd say Naru's final fight against the Feral Yautja, and the Grendel King's tournament, are probably my favorite moments ever!!!
I'm so excited that we're finally getting a Yautja protagonist in Badlands, and Dan has done such an amazing job exploring the themes and history of each setting so far, that seeing his approach to Weyland-Yutani has me really excited!!
I have seen every predator movies multiple times and my favorite moment is from predator 2, when Harrigan and the city hunter finally fought each other, to the pursuit after the train, the fight in the meat reserve and the rooftop, and the final battle in the ship. I always find it so cool and well done.
For the upcoming movie predator badlands, i am obviously very excited and curious to watch and learn about the yautja’s culture and lore, as i am a big fan and have collecting every bit of information about it (novels, comics, interviews, etc), and also the interactions between dek and the synthetic.
Im a Huge Predator fan. One of my favorite moments was in "Predators" when it had introduced a sub species of predators. The falconer was my favorite. I'm most looking forward to no humans being in the movie and actually exploring the predator lore. The livelihood on how they operate on a big screen and not just in comics. Going from a unblooded young blood to a full fledge hunter.
What I’m most looking forward to in Predator: Badlands is seeing the Predator take on the role of the protagonist. It’s a refreshing change of perspective that allows the audience to experience the story through the eyes of the hunter rather than the hunted. I’m excited to see how the narrative explores the Predator’s code of honor, instincts, and culture while still delivering the intense action and atmosphere the franchise is known for
My favorite moment from the Predator films comes from Predator 2, even though it’s probably my least favorite installment overall. I’ve always been fascinated by the scene that follows the battle between City Hunter and Harrigan, where the Predator retreats to a bathroom and uses the materials there to treat its wounds. I’m not entirely sure why, but that moment has always stood out to me and brings me joy haha

Updated the article with a gameplay announcement trailer COD just posted!
Another thing I noticed, I think there might be Working Joe/Davis 01, white skin type, Synths in the movie too. Not just the indistinguishable kind that look fully human. At 1:33 in the trailer, Bud rips what looks to be a white skin Synth apart.
Well, that sucks...
Oh, something people have been speculating is that Bud is the baby of that huge spikey monster Dek fights in the trailer.
Predator movies should be rated R.. this is bs
I also am very hyped, it's gonna be different but I'm more accepting of this kind of different than I am of the different we got in Alien: Earth. Not sure how I feel about the Predator talking yet... that will be the biggest adjustment for me.
Ok, im hyped, this looks really good. Tessa and the Synth army look badass.
Ok so I was correct, Tessa has different hair from Thia.
Finally a look at Bud! He's so cute!
This looks great!
A cleaner version has also been unveiled today!
I was hoping it was the Harvester skull on that wall, but the WOTW reference is sweet too!
Geeze this place changed a lot. Ah I see Scified finally got on the Bud train, I was visiting AVPG
Yeah I've made some changes LOL We've avoided the Bud train for months, but we can't deny his existence now hahaha

Baby Yoda but blue.
O boy
Also hoping for R rating..
Please don't be rated PG-13... please don't be rated PG-13... Please don't be rated PG-13... 🤞🤞
Yass, I knew they were all Synths. And you and I were correct in that there were two android Elle Fannings. Honestly can't wait.
Disney have turned a blood thirsty, alien hunter into ridiculous woke nonsense.
Yup, it was a mistake

Dek won't be having shoes.
My guess is, he either has them in the comic and losses them later on. Or its just a tiny mistake- artistic freedom made by the cover artist, not uncommon.
Kind of like the Mega Man 2 American cover featuring Mega Man holding a gun. The artist who painted it said while he was observing beta footage of the game, he asked folks what weapon mega man was holding, and someone said “probably a pistol” and so he drew a pistol instead of the iconic mega buster.
Happened to me also, back in 2023, when I was painting a cover for a short PS1-style VHS indie horror game, I was shown some screenshots of the killer, and I couldn’t tell what weapon the killer had because of the angles. So I asked the publisher what weapon is that, and was told “it’s a sickle, looks like a sickle” and so I drew a sickle. Later it turned out the weapon was a meat hook with d-style handle.
So he lost them before he travels to Kalisk... or this was some artistic freedom. Either way, a bit confusing... lol
Re-watched the trailers, and he doesn't appear to be wearing any boots; not even the NECA figure has him with boots.

I am not a Predator fan, but this trailer has me really excited to watch the movie. Elle Fanning looks amazing as Thia. (Side note, the music for the trailer slaps, omg.) Also, I wonder if these guys are humans or Androids.
I think you're right - I think all those other "people" are actually Synths from the downed WY ship. Further confirmed when Dan mentioned there are no Humans in this movie - only human-looking characters - aka Androids. I'm loving this!
He is a bit of a far cry from the original Predator designs and I still think his overall look is a bit too removed from the original designs - but I'm more open to his look after the latest trailer. I'm remaining optimistic lol..
I think he looks great, not sure what the fuss is all about tbh.

Oh, my gawd, this looks so good.

I wonder if these guys are Synths too, or just regular humans.

The Empire preview is less than a week old. Haven't read anything about the dual casting being a misdirect, where was the source for the debunking? There literally is no other logical explanation for her playing 2 roles if they weren't both Synths. Even if it was the Human her model is based on, one would be aged significantly compared to the Android version.
I think the casting call was accurate and Thia / Tessa are 2 of the same Weyland-Yutani synthetic models.
I always understood there were two androids, one has a purple streak in her hair. How old is this article tho, because I got in a discussion with someone on Reddit saying the two androids theory was debunked and was just a casting call misdirect, to which I said I didn't think so and that I heard there were two versions of Thia. One of them is also torn in half, similar to Bishop.
@Chris; True, it might not be hers, but it's still an android leg so perhaps WY has been sending droids to the planet for awhile, to work or to scope out what the creature is. Either way it's interesting. And yes, I honestly prefer the androids at this point too, i've said it a lot lately lol. Can't wait for Alien: Earth to expand on that lore and Thia looks great, I love Elle Fanning so no doubt she will become a favorite too!
