ninXeno426 The Predator itself is a good film. just the ending was a bit of a "wtf, seriously" moment.....and looks like the alternate wasn't much better lol
I'm waiting for Big Dave...get your popcorn & drinks ready! ;)
Time traveling Ripley...
Time, mother, fucking, traveling Ripley.
Just when I thought the ending couldn't be any weirder.

I'm not surprised Arnold said no when he read the script. I'm guessing he was supposed to be in one of the alt. endings?
@Lone - pass the message to RS that he lost me when he killed off a certain character.
ignorantGuy Sounds possible. Somehow it looks a bit Aperture Science (Portal-ish).
I will only comment on the fact that they used the Aliens logo (not the winged stuff) ... Not to read into things but could this indicate that RS and his were cast aside?
Time travel in the first movie was weird- a guy from the future shagged a woman who turned out to be his mom-but we just rolled with it. That stuff doesn't seem to fly anymore. Time travel seems a weak way of forcing a narrative because it is "sci fi". I think we talked about time travel on the forum a year or two ago as well lol!
Nope. That would be a lame way to join franchises. Time travel is a lazy way of doing it too. The AVP franchise could be great, but as soon as AVPR was mentioned, all credibility disappeared. This idea sounds blasphemous to both franchises.
Geez! Poor old Ripley, as if battling Xenomorph's wasn't enough, make her take on the Yautja meat grinder too lol
What was ending number 3?
Royce, Dutch?
Better, but alas we got this instead

Yeah it does, like the Americans can think it’s the rebel fighters or ISIS and they think it’s us. Like the Predator make it worst battle than ever before
Misdirection sounds interesting. Misdirecting two sides to engage in a proxy battle and recruiting the winners.
Thanks man, this idea came to me when watching the beginning of the 2018 film. The slow built up to seeing The Predator is something that will fantastic where the tension builts and builts to extreme levels to scare the audience. I like the idea of the Predator creating conflict between ISIS and the US, which we see a village which disappears overnight due to a dishonorable Predator killing the residents and it’s cattle. It’s a fantastic idea.
I love the premise about a desert conflict with the Predator! Great idea!
My only thought, does it need to be in an established warzone? What if it creates the conflict. Have a slow build ups where it terrorises a local village, escalates the threat into a flashpoint, draws in fighters on an international scale then stalks and kills the best of them between the infighting.
Maybe something different. A less honourable predator that camps and snipes, use traps and poison, misdirection, Hostages etc?
Thumbs up!
Love the way you think, the idea is bring the Predator into an already war zone where they are just enjoy humanity kill each other for every reason possible but also dives into a downed ship in the ruins of a Ancient City which the Yaujta taught humans how to built. Which explains their influence on humanity. The desert and forest are ways to shoot the film.
Set in Afghanistan maybe.... at least we not considering shooting it in Afghanistan ;) Predators would be the least of their worries!
I think the Terrain of Afghanistan would suit the Predators, the Mountainous Rocky Formations to the open Desert and in the Heat of a Desert you can already get a Hazy Look/Mirage Effect and so spotting a Cloaked Predator in that would be HARD and those who see one would put it down to their mind playing tricks.
You would have to ASK..... WHY would it be set there?
Would the Predators see going into a Conflict/Warzone as a Ultimate Trophy Challenge?
Could a USA Base hold a Downed Predator Ship and maybe Predators, that was shot down over the area?
I think this would be ideal to use the Embassy Predator Aesthetic if we have the Predators Escape and have to make do with Salvaging Human Military Armour and Weapons to Escape.
A Predator Escaping a USA Base, with only Assault Riffles and Limited Ammo while being chased by Military would be interesting and a TOUGH task for the Predators and then if they run into Afghanistan Militants that would pose another Problem..
The Warzone is a HELL-HOLE a Dangerous Place with lots of IED's and Mines.... how would a Predator Detect them without there Mask/Vision Technology?
Its a Place that inquisitive Predators who then have their Ship downed, Seized along with Technology, would soon offer them the ULTIMATE Challenge to Survive as opposed to HUNT!
The Hunter becomes the Hunted!
Yeah I've been waiting for them to do a Predator/Alien movie in the future with Colonial Marines. With old school props like the motion trackers and rifles and miniatures like BR2049.
Heat and Conflict is the name of the game here, this film would make the Yaujta look scary and threatening not that they looked scary before but to put in the fear back in the Predator which two of the first films and Predators achieved perfectly. Yeah the second film got to not mention the Predator Killer.
I'm still waiting for some new Predator games for PC and consoles, like sequels to Predator: Concrete Jungle and Aliens vs. Predator from 2010. I'm also surprised they never made some form of video games based on Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, and The Predator by the way.
Or have it on a desert planet with Colonial Marines and Weyland-Yutani being involved! <3
I love these concepts and would love to see them on-screen, however they would probably not have worked for this film, so it was good they didn't go with these.
Well, I think what the desert is the perfect place for another Predator movie. Main reason - deserts is hot, and predators like the heat. I don't remember the title, but I read a comic book with deserts and bad blood predators. It was great.
Anyway - next movie must ignored Predator Killer. Because this feature destroy conception about humans as victims.
It would on one hand been interested in seeing them, but on the other it would maybe have not been ideal, but we have seen Predators work with Humans/Respect them in Prior Movies.
The Monkey looks more Creepy....
It kind of does look a bit of the Cloverfield Monster though.
The Plot Reveal about the Predators Genetically Engineering Life does open up the Door to many different Hybrids, but this essentially is similar to the Engineers Plot from the ALIEN Franchise?
I guess it makes room for a Predators vs Engineers LOL who can only imagine what Hybrid Horrors both Races have created to use in a Given Conflict....
New Tag Line...
Who ever WINS... were $£"%£&
First concept looks good, but if h ad to be honest it looks too outlandish to be considered a hybrid of a Predator and another alien or earth animal. If anything, it kinda looks like the Predator equilvalent of a crocodile or a gorilla. If it was featured in the film like that, then I'd accept it. If this was a concept that the Assassin Predator replaced, though, then I'm glad it did. Again, looks way too outlandish to be a hybrid of a Predator, or even what it could evolve into in the future. The Assassin Predator caught that you me and I love that design more than this. What else can I say than if anyone hated how the Assassin Predator looked, they'll hate this even more.
With the monkey Predator hybrid... Yea I have to admit did a better job looking creepy as opposed to the either cool, cute, or ugly looking Predator dogs but... I don't know. To me, they could have just brought the Hell Hounds back, and maybe even make them scarier. The monkey I don't think would have worked for hunting (especially in a forest, are you kidding me?) To me, this could have worked to show what other nasty hybrids the Predators cooked up back at their planet. Or, heck, this could have been a part of the whole invasion plot, in which they were going to bring creatures like the dogs and the monkey hybrids to replace the normal animals. That would have made some sense, in my opinion.
It looks too bug like and the eyes seem wrong. It also seems like it would be amphibious somehow.
The monkey has some real possibilities though. They could be an early evolutionary version considering the jungle environment the Predator likes. They could bring all kinds of angry impulsive hurt.
yeah not a fan of that hybrid concept. It looks sleek, but to much like a Halo Covenant knock-off.
Monkey Hybrid looks creepy as hell though! Could have made for a formidable little nasty.
I envisage lots of face-ripping and jugular-vein biting
Glad to read this. Thank you daliens.
"I can bet these posters can get more juveniles in theaters to see The Predator than the official marketing campaign."
That is an easy bet daliens. Love the posters and thank you for sharing.
Great concept art MU/TH/UR. It seems to follow the novels with Predators working with Humans.

I love the concept are because you're able to review details impossible to see in the film.
