Thia is a Weyland-Yutani robot synthetic who aids Dek on his hunt in Predator: Badlands. Thia is extremely smart and witty but relatively naive to the world, having spent all of her time in a Weyland-Yutani lab prior to being stranded on the alien planet Kalisk. When the role for Thia was first advertised via casting calls, her role was described as:

Thia has spent most of her life in a laboratory and is now embarking on her first big adventure in the world. She is incredibly smart, witty, enthusiastic, and unflappable. She has an innate disregard for danger, not because she’s fearless, but simply because she’s naive. Strong comedy chops required.
Who plays Thia in Predator: Badlands?
Thia is played by Elle Fanning in Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands. Elle Fanning had to portray not only Thia but her twin "sister" Tessa as well, another Weyland-Yutani synthetic with polarizing characteristics and personality.

Thia's Story
While little is still known about Thia's backstory, we know she belongs to the Weapons Research division of Weyland-Yutani. She is a slightly newer and more advanced model than the Synthetic model Andy from Alien: Romulus. Her purpose on Kalisk is currently unknown but she, along with a large number of other combat Synthetics were left stranded on Kalisk at some point prior to Dek's arrival.
Unique Traits & Abilities
Thia unfortunately lost the lower half of her body, possibly due to their Weyland-Yutani vessel crash landing on Kalisk or due to conflicts on the planet. Whatever the cause, she's been left without the use of her legs and relies on her arms to get around.

This handicap doesn't hold Thia back, however and she's still able to propel herself with immense power using her increased ronotic strength. In the Predator: Badlands trailer, Thia is seen attacking and killing a winged Dinosaur-like creature after it attacked Dek. Despite killing the creature with immense ferocity, Thia's demeanor remains lighthearted and funny.

Thia can sync via a neuro-link with Weyland-Yutani systems and interact with technology, like all Synths. She is seen investigating a Predator trophy room in the trailer as well and may have an ability to relay information about Predator technology back to Weyland-Yutani.
Thia, like Tess, were given increased sensitivity and a version of feelings while on Genna - to allow for them to better connect to, learn and exploit the predatory creatures that inhabit the planet. However, Thia developed an attachment and empathy for Dek (and Bud) - making her no longer a viable asset to the Weyland-Yutani corporation.
Thia is an expert on Yautja
In addition to having an extensively detailed account of every predatory creature on Genna, Thia also is a self-professed expert on Yautja. In Badlands, Thia is very familiar with the Yautja language, their culture, their practices, rituals and more. She encourages Dek to quiz her on her knowledge but in the film, he can't be bothered.
Does Thia die in Badlands?
No, Thia does not die in Badlands - in fact, she survives and is fully repaired by the end of Badlands and travels with Dek and Bud to Yautja Prime - where they await their next adventure together.
As new information about Thia is uncovered, this article will updated.
