Tessa is a Weyland-Yutani robot synthetic who plays a pivotal role in Predator: Badlands. She is the twin sister to Thia but shares no similarities to her, personality wise. Early casting call descriptions for the Tessa character described her as:
Tessa has a militant intensity when it comes to achieving her family’s goals and mission objectives. She will not let anything get in her way, not even her twin sister.
Her family's goals refer to the interests of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Tessa could not be more opposite to Thia and by the sounds of it, will clash with Thia at some point in the film.
Who plays Tessa in Predator: Badlands?
Tessa is also played by Elle Fanning in Predator: Badlands. Elle had to portray two versions of the same character, essentially, demanding a wide range of acting capabilities. While Thia is lighthearted, funny, witty and naive, Tessa is intense, militant and objective-driven.
Tessa's Story
Little is known about Tessa's backstory or her mission objectives. We can only assume Weyland-Yutani has unique interests on Kalisk. Tessa will stop at nothing to achieve Weyland-Yutani's goals.
Unique Traits & Abilities
Like Thia and all Synthetics, Tessa has increased strength and can interface with technology. She is extremely smart, calculated and belongs to the Weyland-Yutani Bio-Weapons Division. She belongs to a more advanced detachment of Synthetic than previous iterations like Andy from Alien: Romulus.
