The Art of The Predator is an upcoming art book featuring concept artwork and behind-the-scenes photos from Shane Black's Predator sequel officially titled The Predator. Spanning 176 pages, written by Dominic Nolan and produced by Titan Books, The Art of The Predator will hit shelves September 18th following The Predator's theatrical release. Cover art for the book has been published online however and offers a first look at the film's new Predator - unmasked and armored up! Contrary to the "Predators in fatigues" we witnessed last year when set photos leaked online, the Predator featured on the book's cover seems to be sporting more tactical gear. Another interesting detail is the presence of a single wrist blade - the original Predator and all other iterations all sported a dual wrist blade gauntlet. The only time a single blade was introduced was with the Super Predators in Robert Rodriguez's Predators back in 2010.
Witness the return of one of the most formidable movie monsters of all time as director Shane Black brings The Predator to the world’s cinema screens.
This official companion book provides a unique look at the making of the movie, including fascinating detail on all the major aspects of production such as stunt work, production design, visual effects, costumes and props. Interviews with the cast and crew highlight the evolution of the story and the challenges faced while bringing an incredible new chapter in this blockbuster franchise to life. Captivating concept art and on-set photography reveal the creative processes behind the creatures, the technology and the breathtaking action set pieces that feature in this long-awaited new movie. This book is a must-have for all Predator fans!
We know The Predator will introduce us to different factions of Predator, but could Super Predators be referenced once again? Hopefully we learn more soon. Feel free to let us know what you think in the comments section below!
