Predator: Badlands #1 is an upcoming comic book being published by Marvel which will act as a prequel to the Dan Trachtenberg film coming out this November. Arriving less than a week after Badlands releases in theaters, on November 12th, 2025 – the comic comes with a few variant covers – 1 movie and 2 artwork variants. We previously reported on the first one upon initial announcement, but thanks to BleedingCool, now we have a look at another alternative cover showing an up-close shot of Dek's face. Not only that, we also have better rundown of the comic's overall plot line and how it leads into the movie:
In the one-shot, a young Yautja warrior named Dek is given a seemingly simple task by his father: retrieve a piece of technology from a derelict spaceship that crashed years ago. Inside, however, an ancient and deadly threat lies in wait.
As part of the solicitation, we also have a few panels from inside the cover to enjoy as a preview:
Curious what robot / alien technology this is and how it will fit into the expanding Predator (and soon to be Alien as well) lore.
