Predator: Badlands is 11 days away and while hype is building for the next Predator movie, we've got some exciting Yautja-related exclusives to share with you! Today we are thrilled to unveil a first-ever look at unseen concept art for the Hulk Predator, designed by Dane Hallett for Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Killer of Killers anthology anime film! Thanks to Dane, we at Scified / Predator-Movies.com can exclusively reveal a first look at some of the alternative designs and weaponry for the massive Yautja!
You'll notice Dane's attention to detail when attempting to merge iconic Predator weaponry from Predator 2 into the Hulk Pred's arsenal. The dread-less look of the second alternative design also reminds us a lot of the captive Young Blood Hunters from the Predator: Concrete Jungle video game.
These designs featured a less technologically advanced arsenal of weaponry - more primitive than the pulse-shield which eventually featured in the film.
Even without advanced weapons, the Hulk Predator was a massive and barbaric Yautja, giving the equally barbaric Vikings a run for their money. Taking place in 841 A.D during the Viking age, the Hulk / Viking Predator is also technically the "first" Predator Humans ever encountered (going by the Predator film timeline), which could also explain its primitive weapon selection.
