Angry Joe spent 20 minutes on a popcorn flick. He acknowledged that there was good character development, it is “worth seeing”,  “if you like schlock, you will like this film”. Joe basically bitched about a movie that he also enjoyed.

Based on that, my daughter, IRaptus and trailers, yep, I think it will be pretty good. I might have to crawl out of the cave to see it before the DVD release.

I just saw it myself. It was good. I won't give any spoilers but its definitely an action flick full of comedy. 

Keegan-Michael Kay and Thomas Jane were f&$king hilarious.

I was laughing before Keegan delivered the punch lines some of the time.

Most of the reviewers agreed the film is sort of a comedy, so probably appealing to some of the Disney audience.

The Predator made $2.5 M in the opening night, on Thursday, a little over the  $2.2 M made by The Nun now one week after its premiere. 

Let's see how it will get over the weekend.

daliens But there already was Engineer vs Predator in the comic books (Engineer vs Alien Queen for that matter). Not a big step to the big screen.

And who needs Dexter (the one with the laboratory) in a Predator movie?

What is the point of introducing the big chicken? Does he cry at soap operas?

The Godzilla Predator will only make waves in China and Japan.

At least when JC made the Alien Queen he tried to explain in his own simple logic how the eggs are made.

Who needs a gigantic Upgrade Predator now?

Is Disney planning a Predator vs. Godzilla we don’t know about yet? Or Predators vs. Engineers / Space Jockeys, to bury for good the Alien franchise.

I liked the first Predator, even the second one. I wish this last film to do good financially, but I don't think I will ever like it.

I am not so sure that beast is cooked. Fingers crossed.

It seems that Shane Black managed to cook the predator and instead of an apple in the mouth he serves it with fishnets. 

I don't want Arnold, he would only embarrass himself, as does Harrison Ford with his appearences in BR49 and The Force Awakens.

If they will do make a sequel (highly unlikely as it costed 88 mil and the critics reception is poor... audience reception is already rather poor) bring back Olivia Munn, and if you want something wacky hook her up with The one beautiful motherf***er. 

Indeed, if the movie does well enough, we might see Dutch in a follow up.

Unfortunately, my local rag gave it a 2/5 today. They did the same for AC. It seems like the only things they will rave about are foreign films with nothing but subtitles the whole time.

It has to have a weakness or it could be a snooze fest. It has to be vulnerable somehow...unless is about our demise that we helped create. That sounds a bit Godzilla though.

Is this building up to a potential AVP reboot... Please retcon that shit AVP (2004), have the setting on Ryushi and have Dachande, Techinde, and Machiko Noguchi appear on the big screen. I hated Scar and Lex for stealing Dachande and Machiko's roles.

But yeah, it's definitely a touchy subject and the excuse really doesn't make up for it. It's good Fox removed his scenes though.

I would worry about the Box Office as the movie has Mr H Reviews seal of approval.

But on the serious note, I'm sorry for the girl and I think Black is offering a lame and opportunistic excuse, as he cast Striegel in Iron Man 3 and Nice Guys after the "man"'s stint in jail. 

"exoskeleton that will stop high capacity rifle fire at close range" that surely sounds very useful when your own race uses plasma casters and disk that can easily amputate members...

Sorry IgnorantGuy, but the first image in the OP is definitely of Billy (portrayed by the late Sonny Landham) and is from a scene that was cut from the VHS release of Predator in the UK, but later reinstated into the special edition version of the movie (available on DVD and Blu-Ray).

Preceding the montage scene that shows the Predator examining its trophies and Dutch preparing for the final showdown the above image is part of the extra footage that shows that the skull the Predator adds to his collection before hearing Dutches warcry is that of Billy.

Shown in the clip below - Billy's body is slammed against a tree (as in the pic), before the Predator pulls out his spinal column and skull, roaring in celebration.

In the special edition release of the movie, this scene is cut to infer that the Predator adds Billy's skull to his collection (presumably including those of Blaine and Hawkins, among others).

And as others have already stated Anna not only appears in the Helicopter alongside the General and the helicopter pilot (Kevin Peter Hall out of the Predator suit), but she can also be seen in on a monitor in the OWLF trailer in Predator 2.

Xenotaris Also look she/he also seems wearing her beige shirt not being bare chested (the chest is more sand color than the face). The blood pattern is as in Hawkins killing scene. In the movie the body of Billy is never shown and the picture the character is standing upright, not on the fallen truck on which Billy stands.

That is Anna (bloodied but alive).

could still be Billy at a different angle and lighting, hence why the eyes look a little darker.

That is Anna right after the Predator stabs and runs off with Hawkins' body. His blood sprouts on her face and if I recall correctly we never see Billy's and the eyes seem to be of different color.

plus anna makes an appearance in Pred2.

i agree it is a valid question. surely the team wouldn't give away the location of their extraction point to her so I think shes either just ran in a straight-ish direction to which the team was going anyway or she maybe has some knowledge of the local area and has taken an educated guess as where the best place to land a choppa would be.

I was going to show a bizarre music video that is pretty strange- so strange it looks comical- to me. However, I thought twice and felt some around here might not find it very amusing. I decided to blank it out. Sorry for any convenience.

The music has a lot of old school punk/harcore sound and even a Primus vibe on one song in a sideways kind of way.
