IMO the perfect Predator game already exists, it is called Batman: Arkham City - remove the gliding, add trademark kills (such as ripping out spinal columns, hanging upside down with no skin etc.), add hunter customization and have the OWLF as a kind of nuisance (looking for you, pursuing you) and voila the perfect Predator game.

I would like more about their culture. The awesome thing about the AVP novels was that they allowed us to see things from the Predators' perspective and see how they think. Maybe among the people being hunted is an anthropologist and we get some conjecture about their interactions.

I'd love an open world Predator game. Choose your own hunts, customize your hunter. I think that'd be pretty awesome. Predator: Concrete Jungle was pretty cool if anyone's played that. Controls were a bit finicky though.

I truly think that after 26 years it's time for us to see things from the Predator's perspective. Yautja society, origins, motivation, caste system, homeworld, etc. Fight some stuff besides humans and xenomorphs. What's their connection with the engineers, if any?

Pros: More action, more predators, more human drama, and so on. Basically more of everything hahaha. Cons: They might not expand on mythology, rehashing of old characters, same movie over again but with new characters could be a result, Brody beats a predator again. In all honesty I think those cons can be easily overlooked with a good script, cast, and production and I was half-kidding about the brody comment

Hell yeah! And make his team like the cast of the Expendables, all badasses. And lots of kick ass futuristic weaponry. And it is Hollywood they can make almost anyone look good. Some lipo Botox and make him hit the gym on roids and he'll be almost like he was in his prime!

I say go back to the game reserve planet and pick up where they left off, they drop off another group of humans on the game reserve planet except this time its this best of the best. So in the new group being abducted you will need 3-5 badasses. Yes that means Dutch and Lt. Harrigan (Arnold and Danny Glover (and give him a chance to redeem himself)) Why? Because they are the only two to ever defeat or survive these things. Also have Sly Stallone and maybe Jason Statham as number 3 & 4 cause they are bad dudes and just look more badass the older they get. So after being dropped off they soon meet up with Royce and Isabelle, they explain what's going on to the new prey. They all team up to defat the Berserkers and in the process the lone surviving Berserker has remotely signaled their nearby spacecraft from a moon of the game reserve planet to try an escape. They defeat the remaining Berserker and commandeer the spacecraft only to find that it is on auto pilot headed for the Predator home planet. Thats where i'm at now, but they will need weapons

Well the predator had an engineer skull in it's trophy room in one of the films.

I'd really like to see some of the others on the ship in Pred 2, especially Gort. Somehow I don't like the idea of Predators not being linked in any way to Pred 2, when Pred 2 was obv a Pred 1 sequel. I hope to change that in Predators 2. It's a shame really.

side note: in the books and comic books the aliens are the ultimate prey, and the first hunt a pred goes on for them is a right of passage not for new bloods but for vets, once you hunted an alien you got the clan mark on your head making you an official badass and moving you into the upper cast of warriors, you also had to renew your mark every so often to show you still hunt them. The aliens where not made by preds but used by them and hunted for sure. Also once you had the clan mark you could join in on capturing queens and hunting them, the highest honor. Most preds didn't hunt queens on their own and only a few legends did so and lived. the stories in the books and comic books are awesome.

first not being able to cloak in water is a tech thing if one could do it all would and they need some kind of a weakness in their cloak. As far as females read the books, females hunt as well but in the books are larger than males and pick their mates based on hunting trophies and their own status. So basically a female with top standing will pick multiple males to mate with, however the clans rule, female's play a large role in the governing of the clans so they don't hunt as much. Hunting brings personal standing, honor, and where you sit with the ladies while also bolstering your clans standing vs other clans. Now what that standing dictates is hunting grounds as in first choice and so forth but also territory, some is worth more than others. Also one can challenge another for the right for specific hunting grounds. Normally more than one clan is on each ship especially alien hunting ships. In the books and comic books they don't have a temple on a planet they have a ship that flies around with a queen on bored tied up like yo see in avp forced to lay eggs and then they are loaded automatically onto pod ships and sent to planets with wild life. The planets with the toughest life is the most desired. Ritual combat between high ranking clans-a hero of each clan fights each other for the right to pick their planet. Also in the books you see where clans come together to capture queens on alien planets to be used to seed other worlds with specific wild life.

Hmm, that would kinda be lame since they released a comic and short animated bit about noland already. The little comic book that came with the first movie went over most of what happened already. The rest would be weak a lot of hiding scavenging and killing other humans while mainly avoiding preds. He didn't kill all 2-3 in a short time but rather over years. Imo they should pick up where they left off or simply continue with the two types of preds and their issues with each other, get more bAck ground on that mess. The books and comic books have a separate pred group known as bad bloods I think cause they don't kill for the hunt and clan/tribal stuff instead they do it just to kill and conquer. I was sad when avp followed the basic story of the books and comics but ruined it by putting it in modern day instead of the future. If you haven't seen the comics pls go find them. The main char ends up going with the preds and hunting with them. Eventually she goes back to humanity and then humans and the preds have to fight the bad bloods who come back after being banished with new tech and alien mixed dog things at their command. The books and comic books are way better. The original predator and predator 2 came from those sources, all other movies besides predators took the ideas and then messed them up. I hope they restore my faith in these movies cause the first 2 good and predators was good but lacked a little something, if I can put my finger on it I will make a post, still a good movie tho.

In pure hand to hand combat ? The predators can withstand lightning bolts and on the train he was shot repeatedly at close range with no damage but somehow a shotgun at close range downed him . Phew this is difficulty to decide . I'd say the predator might have slightly better chance .

what about a female predator. ? How do predators procreate ? Are all predators hunters or are some in their homeworld liketeachers statesman and such ?

Well if the predators use the xenomorph hunting as a coming of age / initiation ritual then maybe it simple economixs: the ampules is safer to transport and deploy. What would an infected predator turn into ? (by accident of course))

To all I don't think there could be any cons !!! The pros are more revelations of the predator species and their technology - homeworld exploration would be excellent !!!!

Man who in the world cares about that dude? That would be such a lame movie. Especially if he's going to be by himself. I mean, if they do include others the movies still not going to be well because we already know how it's going to end. Noland survives and everyone else dies. There's really no surprise in the story line. I would like to see them pick up right where they left off. Only this time not one batch of survivors being dropped off onto the strange planet, but about 3. Up the ante for crying out loud, don't go back in time. That's so boring. Every movie is doing that shit already. They tell a story and then the friggen sequel ends up being a back story. So lame and old already. Keep moving forward. More People. More Predators. More! More! More!

but a inpredator 2 the predator got shot like 10 times and got up chased glover down then he slid down the side of a building with one arm and then healed himself and valiently tried to fight glover even though he had onl one arm. i think even an almighty engineer would have trouble fighting someone with one arm. so i wouldnt question their toughness. also, the shaw nearly managed to fight off a pissed of engineer before she released cuddles on him so i would say the engineer was bested by someone who probably wasnt as skilled a fighter as glover then. i thought this conversation was missing an adament amd serious comment;)

I like AVP and the whole series but they should have used the ancient alien theory but only on a smaller level. To me the Engineers are the real ancient astronauts and the predators to me at least, are the ones that found out later that Earth has humans and lots of bio-diversity. They should have made them like a second generation of the ancient aliens that way it would describe the civilizations of the Americas better because their pyramids are similar. I own all the AVP movies ans all the Predator movies including Prometheus Blu-ray dvd. I collect the NECA action figures to both films also. I am a Fan :-)

Interesting to think about because I think they should make separate movies but stay in the same universe. Maybe have the Space Jockey's have some sort of role but do not show them...makes them keep their mysteriousness. I am a big predator fan since I saw the movie back in 90' or 91' but I am a very big fan of the Engineers from Prometheus also. It could be possible to keep the fact that the preds do hunt our fellow 'jockeys' but only show hints. The only thing I cant see is that the black goo only fell into human hands not the predators. They might find it too unhonorable to hunt because its a mutation thats artificial not natural. Who knows the black goo could be too powerful to use in a hunt because you could be the hunted.

I liked Predator 2. However, I feel it showed 'to much' of the predator itself. Like with Alien the mystery surrounding the predator was great and Predator 2 seemed to ruin that a little for me. But still a good film none the less.

Engineer, hands down if it came to hand-to-hand combat. Also, the Engineer was shot in the shoulder and barely flinched, in PREDATOR, the Predator gets a bullet in the leg and lets out a terrible scream as he rips the bullet out - insinuating great pain. I think the Engineers are by far tougher and more ruthless.
