Badlands will be another stand-alone Predator movie, not a Prey sequel!

Prey did so well for 20th Century Studios and Disney's Hulu that Dan Trachtenberg has been given the reigns on the next stand-alone Predator film! Because it will be another stand-alone Predator movie, it will likely have no connection to Prey or other Predator movies.

Unlike other franchises, the Predator franchise is one that can benefit from stand-alone entries. The formula seems to work well and can span any number of timelines.

Personally, I'm very eager to see what Dan Trachtenberg does with Badlands.

Apparently Predator is "high on the studio's priority list" so we can expect more updates later this year, which is also when Badlands is expected to start filming!
