Why did the Jungle Hunter go after Dutch? He was unarmed, so why?

He was armed earlier in the movie and all the soldiers were killers. The girl never had a weapon, so she wasn't deadly or worth any interest.

He was one of the few that might pose a challenge to the Predator unarmed, as evidenced by the rest of the movie.
