The Predator is slowly filling out its cast, and today a new lead was revealed for the project. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Trevante Rhodes has joined the cast of Shane Black's Predator. Rhodes's is reported to play the best friend of Holbrook's character, both of them being ex-marines.
The Hollywood Reporter also continues to report the rumor that the film will be shot in the suburbs. Despite this, Shane Black has since denied that claim regarding the setting of the film. However, the plot does seem to be shaping up that the film will revolve around another special forces group, with Munn's scientist character possibly attempting to observe or study the Predator.
Trevante Rhodes film credits include 'Moonlight', which has been nominated for several golden globes. He will also star alongside Chris Hemsworth in 'Horse Soldiers' later this year. His television credits also include WestWorld.
20th Century Fox, Executive Producer Bill Bannerman and Producer John Davis will release Shane Black's The Predator February 9th, 2018. The movie will star Boyd Holbrook in a lead role. Olivia Munn will co-star in the film as a scientist.
