Beware, movie spoilers ahead for Shane Black's The Predator! Earlier in February of this year, The Predator had underwent reshoots in Vancouver and today we know what took place during those reshoots! According to a new leaked report by AvPGalaxy, it appears much of what fans were initially concerned by has been completely removed from the film!
According to the leak, the entire third act of the film has been altered. The friendly Predator troops witnessed in leaked set photos have been completely cut from the movie, along with a variety of hybrid creatures. The only other alien creature to be shown is a Predator dog.
All major character death sequences have also been changed and the final battle with the Ultimate Predator now takes place at night in the woods. According to the leak:
After attacking the Project: Stargazer base, Upgrade gives the survivors a chance to escape before he begins to hunt them to find the best fighter amongst them.
Recent screenings of The Predator have also shown scenes which make direct reference to previous Predator films and Alien vs. Predator:
The latest cut of the film tested also featured additional scenes that connected The Predator to the previous films, including Alien vs. Predator. Lex’s spear is now displayed alongside City Hunter’s spear from Predator 2. Casey, Olivia Munn’s character, is also shown some grainy pictures of the Predators from the first two films.
