The first official teaser trailer for Shane Black's The Predator crash landed online this morning to a mixture of mostly positive reviews. The iconic Yautja hunters are back with a vengeance and the first teaser did a great job of teasing what is to come this Fall. Shane Black, who actually starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first Predator movie has breathed new life into the dormant franchise, reinvigorating its mythology by adding some not-so-outlandish new devices.
The film will of course introduce us to various new Predators and the new movie still below, courtesy of Empire, shows one of those Predators (effects work by ADI) throwing a Human security officer - leading us to believe this Predator is one of the captive Yautja who aid the Humans in the fight against their superior, genetically enhanced bretheren. Abe was a Weyland-Yutani Synthetic in Badlands who was compared to Michael Fassbender's David. Sadly the character didn't make it into the final cut of the film.
