In 10 days, Shane Black's The Predator begins filming in Vancouver and it would seem that the identities of who will actually play the Predators in the film have been revealed! Kyle Strauts was recently added to The Predator's cast lineup page on IMDB. Kyle Strauts also just so happens to be an actor, local to Vancouver and stands 6'9 tall - just the right height for a Predator suit (of which Studio ADI are creating).
Although Strauts is unable to confirm whether or not he is involved with The Predator, clues he's shared through his Instagram account lend weight to the fact that he is indeed, going to play on of the Predators. 24 weeks ago, he shared this photo of a Predator pin and more recently shared this photo with another stunt actor / dancer Brian Price to his Instagram feed, adding: "Training with my fellow giant. Can't wait to work together!"
This of course lends credibility to the rumor involving the likelihood of there being multiple Predators in The Predator. From what we know so far, The Predator will involve the reclamation of stolen Predator technology after one Predator fails to complete his mission / hunt and dies, leaving his tech behind to be discovered by Boyd Holbrook's character. It's possible Kyle Strauts will play the deceased Predator and Brian Prince will play the Predator tasked with cleaning up the mess, or vise-versa. It's also possible that instead of one Predator being sent to Earth to reclaim the stolen tech, that two are sent instead to ensure the job gets done right.
Either way, all evidence seems to support the fact that Kyle Strauts and Brian Prince will in fact play Predators in The Predator, but of course as new details arrive, we'll keep you updated.
