Native American actress Amber Midthunder, known for her role in the FX series Legion has reportedly landed a lead role in Disney and 20th Century Studio's Predator 5 (working title Skulls)!

10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg will be taking the Predator film franchise in a completely new direction. Instead of following on as a sequel to Shane Black's The Predator from 2018, Skulls will be set sometime in the 18th century, following a young Comanche woman who intends to challenge gender norms and become a female warrior within her tribe. It's very likely this is the role Midthunder has been cast for. Character names and additional plot details currently remain under wraps.
Predator 5 / Skulls was supposed to begin filming in Vancouver next month, but Disney were slapped with a potential court injunction by the Thomas brothers, creators of the Predator character last month. If the court rules in favor of the Thomas brothers, production will come to a screeching halt for Skulls. The court hearing is scheduled to take place this upcoming Thursday, May 27th.
