Shane Black's upcoming Predator sequel will officially begin filming next month! Now, this isn't really breaking news considering we initially reported The Predator would begin filming in February 2017 back in October of 2016. But, it appears many major outlets missed the memo and are just now running with the story. So, for the sake of keeping up with current events, we're going over what we already know about The Predator so far.
Directed by Shane Black who starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the original Predator movie, The Predator will act as a semi-sequel, semi-reboot of the franchise. The Predator will not discount Predator 2 or Predators, but may not reference them directly.
We have yet to receive word on whether or not Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning or not. Neither Shane or Arnold have made any official statement regarding the matter.
Boyd Holbrook will play one of the film's lead characters, a marine, with Trevante Rhodes and Keegan-Michael Key. Olivia Munn will play a scientist. Larry Fong will act as the film's cinematographer as well.
