Concept creature artist Ken Barthelmey has just shared some early concept artwork he created for Shane Black's The Predator from back in 2018! The concepts below detail what would have been the Emissary Predators! As Ken explains, in the early scripts for The Predator, the Emissaries were supposed to be a more intellectual breed of Predator.
Sporting a leaner build than their Hunter and Warrior brethren, these elite class of Predator did not wear armor either but were intended to have been the scientists of Yautja society. They would have helped devise new technologies and weaponry for the Hunters and Warriors to use on their missions across the galaxy. Ken gave these Emissaries a bonier looking skull and bundled the dreadlocks together which gave a Xenomorph-like shape to their heads.
