Prey movie director Dan Trachtenberg has shared a brand new movie still image from the upcoming Predator film! Not only that but he also sat down with the website TimeOut and discussed future Predator movies! He alludes to more "bold swings" as being the best way to continue the Predator franchise - perhaps taking place in different time periods:
There are a lot of exciting ideas for what could be next for the franchise. The things that most excite me are the boldest swings and I think there’s scope to do other things that haven’t been done before.
In the interview Dan also discusses the film's new Predator - and why it looks the way it does:
I wanted the Predator to be scarier than we’ve seen it before. It’s intelligent and it has advanced technology, and that makes it even more difficult to take on. But because the movie is set 300 years in the past, those things need to feel a little bit older than we’ve seen before, but also still far more advanced than what we think our earthlings would be able to handle. I wanted to make sure the head was more proportional to the body. This predator is much slimmer and less armoured than it’s ever been. It’s more ‘creature’. It’s still hulking and ferocious.
A primal Predator that's more of a creature than we're used to seeing certainly does sound intriguing.
