During a live Q&A through his Facebook page, Arnold Schwarzenegger answered all kinds of questions from fans who took part in the event. Everything from his favorite training split to his favorite lines from popular films he starred in, to whether or not he has any interest of starring in another Predator movie! He even at one point yelled GET TO DA CHOPPA! in the middle of Gold's Gym - classic.
When asked if he would like to star in another Predator film, the next one being titled The Predator, Schwarzenegger replies by saying:
I would love to do another Predator, but it has to be a good script. I think that Shane Black is directing the next one. I think that would be a good Predator.
Previously, director Shane Black commented on the state of Predator 4, aka. The Predator as well as the potential for Arnold's involvement. Shane revealed that The Predator would take place in current day, so the likelihood of Schwarzenegger returning would be high. Ultimately though, he clarified that he and Arnold were still in negotiations.
Following Maggie and Terminator Genisys however, it's evident Arnold has no thought of slowing down his acting career, which is great for us fans who enjoy seeing him in his iconic and nostalgic roles.
Could Arnold play a rogue Commando again? Probably not, but even a cameo role would be enough to give The Predator even more appeal. Either way, Arnold has openly admitted that he would love to star in another Predator film and Shane Black has admitted that the given timeline and story could very well accommodate the return of Arnold's character, Dutch. Now we just need to wait for an official deal to be signed, but at this point, it seems like The Predator will see the return of Dutch after all!
