Dan Trachtenberg hasn't stopped thinking about a sequel to Prey and all the crazy directions it could go. Now, with the film having earned 6 Emmy nominations, naturally and an abundance of positive reception, the question everyone keeps asking is "when will Prey get a sequel?". Speaking to The Playlist, Trachtenberg had this to say about a potential follow-up to Prey:

I can’t really say anything about that right now, but I’ll say while we were finishing the movie, we were having really exciting conversations. The studio, myself, the writer, and the producers about what crazy things could we do next. And I’ve never stopped, no one stopped thinking about how cool things could be going forward.
Currently, no official announcement has been made concerning a Prey sequel, however with more chatter and intrigue surrounding the potential of one, we don't doubt Disney are considering it.
